About the Teacher

WELCOME TO MS. ROGERS' PAGE

I feel so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful and warm school environment.

I would like to share some information about my background so we can begin to get to know each other a little better. I attained my bachelor degree in early childhood and special education from Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware.  From there, I began my professional career working in the Red Clay Consolidated School District, where I taught elementary and high school for five years.  Then I relocated to Elkton, Maryland where I taught fourth grade for three years in the Cecil County Public Schools. Due to school enrollment and budget cuts I moved back to Wilmington, Delaware where I was provided with an excellent opportunity in the Christina School District to work as a reading support and intervention teacher for a year. While teaching, I earned a master degree in Special Education (Administration) from Wilmington University.

I believe education and learning is the key to success.  As an educator, I hope to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strength and abilities, and discovering what truly inspires them.  I aim to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages children to reach their full potential.
